Why Participate?

This dynamic-three part series is tailored to guide participants in developing a comprehensive outline for their Portrait of a Graduate. This series is ideal for those dedicated to shaping the holistic development of students.

PART 1: In-Person 2 Day Interactive Session
The first part of the series is a two-day interactive seated session lead by i4PL, the organization that facilitated our Kettle Moraine Field Trip in Wisconsin. Participants will embark on a purposeful exploration, delving into the core elements of defining the characteristics, skills, and attributes they envision for their ideal graduate. Facilitated by experienced educators and educational leaders, this session offers a collaborative space for participants to share ideas, gain valuable insights, and develop their outline for how to carry forward this work in their district, school or academic program.

PART 2: Virtual Follow-up Coaching
Upon completion of the in-person training, the second part of the series will be more personalized and tailored for each district. Each team will receive two 45-minute follow-up virtual coaching sessions with representatives from the Institute for Personalized Learning (i4PL) within the 2024-25 school year. The dates and times for the follow-up coaching will be established by the district and i4PL. All follow-up coaching will occur virtually.

PART 3: Virtual Monthly Check-ins
The third and final part of this series will include virtual monthly check-ins. These community sessions will will be facilitated by GOCSD representatives. The dates for these sessions will be determined with participants input.

Join us for this inspiring work that not only helps outline your Portrait of a Graduate, but also lays the foundation for creating transformative educational experiences and prepares students for success beyond the classroom.
