Advocacy

Our Members have opportunities to advocate for public education.

  • Join the Teacher Proud Tuesday campaign to lift up and celebrate the profession and those currently serving, to recruit and inspire candidates to consider teaching, and to inform communities, business leaders and policymakers the importance of public education.

  • Participate in our GOKey Communicators program. This group receives free training and on-going support on how to regularly communicate with regional legislators about the effects of proposed legislation on their local school districts.

  • Have a voice at the local, state and national level.

  • Be notified of key issues that currently affect schools.

  • Submit celebrations, programs and offerings (up to 3 per school year) to be shared with our community as a Member Spotlight in GONews.

Our Members receive GOCSD publications.

  • GONews: Distributed twice a month. Includes PL events open for registration, new on-demand content, member spotlights, opportunities from our partners, and more.

  • Superintendents Update: Distributed as needed. Includes timely topics, invitations to upcoming virtual discussions of hot topics, legislative news, etc.

  • Ambassador Guide: The GOCSD Ambassador, as designated by each member organization, receives a monthly digital guide with a short of list tips to be sure that their organization is not missing out on any timely opportunities or membership benefits.
