  • Dates: July 11-12th, participants attend both days

  • Time: 9-3:30 PM each day

  • Location: Community Room in the Nixa Schools Faught Administration Center, 301 S Main St, Nixa MO 65714

  • Intended Audience: Superintendents & Assistant Superintendents, Principals & Assistant Principals, Teacher Leaders, Instructional Coaches

  • Lunch: Provided by Bob Adcox from Imagine Learning and David Rogier from Curriculum and Associates.

  • Registration Fee

    • GOCSD Members: $175 for both days

    • Nonmembers: $225 for both days

    • Substitutions are encouraged as refunds will not be provided.

Description

Participants will explore an approach to leading a common vision for best first instruction, as well as learn systems that support students who may need more time and support. Leaders will examine systems and structures for teacher collaboration and learn effective ways to utilize formative assessment to ensure high levels of learning for all students.

Emily Feltner EdD, has spent over two decades working with schools and districts in the areas of leadership, literacy and school improvement through the implementation of professional learning communities. Her work as teacher, coach, principal, district administrator, and consultant allows her to see leading and learning through various lenses. Dr. Feltner has presented throughout the United States and Canada on topics that include transforming district and school systems, literacy leadership, developing collaborative cultures, coaching for results, and creating equitable and inclusive schools.

Our GOLearn PL Framework provides an overview of the learning experiences we offer. This systems approach supports continuous improvement and allows members to identify the offerings that meet their needs, providing a personalized experience. It includes three strands: Systems Thinking, Safe and Collaborative Culture, and Highly Effective Teaching and Leading.

We use the Learning Forward Standards for Professional Learning when designing our experiences to ensure that we provide professional learning that leads to high-quality leading, teaching, and learning for students and educators.
