Submit the registration form to register as a GOKey Communication, and to get access to the On-boarding session recording and resources. Those who register will also get invitations to the Bimonthly Check-ins.

2 Part Experience

1 | On-Boarding

This on-demand virtual on-boarding session provides everything needed to get started as a GOKey Communicator. Participants will learn how to build relationships with legislators and effectively communicate with them. During this session participants will:

  • Gain an understanding of the GOKey Communicators program

  • Learn how to connect and build relationships with legislators

  • Be updated on critical legislative issues affecting our state and region

  • Learn how to effectively communicate with legislators

2 | Bimonthly Check-ins

Participants will be invited to virtual bimonthly Check-in sessions. These sessions will occur January-May 2025, and happen about twice a month on Tuesdays, from 4:30-5 PM. Dates for these check-ins will be provided at a later date. During these sessions participants will:

  • Share their advocacy experiences

  • Tackle challenges collaboratively

  • Receive real-time updates on legislative matters

This is a part of our GOKey Communicators Program. The goal of the GOKey Communicators program is to bring together community members who are passionate about public education and want to make a difference in the lives of students in their communities.

Dr. Sarah Booth Riss
Former Director of the Missouri Superintendents Academy
Facilitator of the Women in Leadership Initiative for Missouri Association of School Administrators (MASA)

Dr. Sarah Booth Riss is the Former Director of the Missouri Superintendents Academy and facilitator of the Women in Leadership Initiative for MASA. She is also a senior associate with Educational Equity Consultants providing diversity, equity, and inclusion learning experiences for school districts and other organizations. Dr. Riss has extensive experience as a classroom teacher, principal, central office administrator, superintendent, adjunct college professor, educational consultant and member of statewide committees focused on improving educational policy. She retired as the superintendent for the Webster Groves School District. Sarah is committed to fostering a learning community that assists educators in their professional growth and their success as school leaders.
