First-year teachers in our Beginning Teachers Community Year 1 train in core hero skills like high-impact instruction, classroom management, and building a strong learning community, all while navigating the twists and turns of their first year in the field. As they grow into their new roles, they gain a trusted squad of fellow heroes and mentors who help them reflect, stay encouraged, and translate their superpowers into everyday classroom wins.
Second-year teachers in our Beginning Teachers Community Year 2 continue their hero’s journey by leveling up their superpowers in areas like student engagement, differentiation, and data-informed instruction while deepening their classroom management and assessment skills. With one year of experience under their capes, these heroes focus on refining what works, tackling new challenges with confidence, and building sustainable habits that fuel long-term impact for every learner they serve.
The Leader Sit-In option invites school and district leaders, mentors, and coaches to join their teacher heroes in the same sessions, training side-by-side in the core powers of effective instruction. By experiencing the learning firsthand, they gain x-ray insight into the content, language, and strategies teachers are exploring, equipping them to better fuel implementation, spark deeper reflection, and champion ongoing growth back on their home campuses.
Alternatively certified teachers can register to participate in the Instruction In Action series, a virtual hero training lab designed especially for those without a traditional student-teaching experience, giving them a front-row seat inside real classrooms through video clips. In each session, they analyze the powerful moves teachers make, sharpen their x-ray vision for effective instruction, and return to their own classrooms with upgraded strategies to power up their everyday practice.
