This #TeacherProud Tuesday, we are honored to spotlight two outgoing members of the GOCSD Board of Directors whose leadership has helped shape our organization and strengthen public education in southern Missouri.
Honoring Outgoing Board Members
Dr. Lori Wilson, Superintendent of the Ozark School District, and Dr. Matt Pearce, Superintendent of Republic School District, have each offered invaluable guidance, insight, and support during their time on the GOCSD Board. Their deep expertise and commitment to collaboration have helped GOCSD continue to grow, innovate, and serve districts across our region.
We know how precious a superintendent’s time is, and we are deeply grateful for their willingness to serve beyond their own districts on behalf of students and educators throughout southern Missouri. Dr. Pearce is retiring after 30 years in public education, and we celebrate the lasting impact his leadership has had on both Republic and our broader GOCSD community.

As we mark 10 years of GOCSD, we are especially thankful for leaders like Dr. Wilson and Dr. Pearce who have invested their time and talent in this cooperative work. Their service reflects the heart of GOCSD’s mission: advancing educational opportunities for K–12 students so they are ready for college, careers, and life.
We also extend our appreciation to all past and current members of the GOCSD Board of Directors whose steady leadership continues to move our organization and our member districts forward. Together, we remain committed to continuous professional growth, advocating for public education, and building partnerships that benefit students across southern Missouri.

The purpose of the Teacher Proud Tuesday campaign is to lift up and celebrate the profession and those currently serving, to recruit and inspire candidates to consider teaching, and to inform communities, business leaders and policymakers on the importance of public education.
