As we begin a new school year, we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible teachers who show up each day ready to inspire, challenge, encourage, and make a difference for students. Their creativity, commitment, and willingness to keep learning are what make great things happen in our schools. We are excited to partner with you to recognize and celebrate them—and to offer an opportunity designed specifically for educators who are ready to grow, connect, and help shape what’s next in education.
THE GREATER OZARKS REAL WORLD LEARNING (GORWL) TRANSFORMATIONAL TEACHER SERIES
We are inviting educators to participate in GOCSD’s innovative GORWL Transformational Teacher Series, a two-year learning experience focused on Real World Learning. This opportunity will provide practical strategies, collaboration, and support for designing meaningful learning experiences that connect classroom learning to students’ futures, interests, and the world beyond school. A series of eight learning opportunities will be available over the two years and will result in each participating teacher being recognized by the USDOL as a certified apprentice in Real World Learning and highly effective teaching.
⭐ By September 15th, use the GORWL Transformational Teacher Nomination Form to recommend teachers from your district who are eager to infuse their classrooms with real world learning.
Upon nomination, each teacher will receive an email congratulating them on being nominated to participate in the exclusive Greater Ozarks Real World Learning (GORWL) Transformational Teacher series. These nominees will receive invitations giving them early access to register for GORWL Toolkit offerings before they are available to all GOCSD Members. GOCSD will also use this information to determine where to hold in-person offerings based on the submitting districts.
Each district is invited to submit the names of as many teachers as you see appropriate, and you might even consider having a small group attend together to build that capacity and camaraderie within the district through these opportunities.
